All 3 of these designs that are in Leicester Museums collection have water and fire damage from a fire that occurred in 1938 at Waals workshop (1 year after his death).

Image 1: Design for small cupboard with lattice work bookshelves over two panelled doors, with drop handles on trefoil plates. Front and side view. Pencil and wash on off-white paper. Inscribed in pencil; CUPBOARD, BOOKSHELVES. (H. 24.3cm; W. 16.4 cm) A very similar piece can be viewed here.

Image 2: Design for china cabinet made of mahogany and ebony. The drawing shows both front and side view, with other details sketched in on both front and back. The drawing is in pencil on off-white paper. Measurements inscribed in pencil and signed P Waals in lower right hand corner. (H. 43.7cm; W. 60.5 cm) This piece can be viewed here.
